My partner and I recently had the pleasure of working with Cil Cangiano on a real estate purchase and a rental. We met Cil at an open house, and (lacking the required “buyer’s agent” so important these days) we asked her if she could act as a buyer’s agent for us. We were on the fence about buying, and what we were buying, and we didn’t want someone aggressive or pushy or even loud in spirit, as we are loud and pushy enough all on our own. We really wanted someone very discerning about what clients DON’T say, holding up a mirror of sorts to us, and adjusting gracefully as we churn and throw the real estate waters. Cil was the right choice. She came to our house and listened quietly and intelligently to our requirements, sent us regular information but did not plague us with communication. But when the task(s) ramped up very suddenly, she was on the ball into the late hours, as required, and was a soft and effective negotiator between many, many parties, getting us all the info we needed and smoothing the many egos that get pinched in real estate transactions, and responding with information and effective help to doubts and troubles. Don’t be mistaken, Cil is also a velvet covered hammer, making things happen when they need to, in a quiet way that makes it look as though she is not responsible for the success. She was very kind and understanding to our children as well during the whole process, never making them feel unwanted or shamed during long hours of “boring” showings and legal signings, and they loved meeting her tiny dog.
